Disassemble the M240B Machine Gun

&pageText=After you have insured the M240B is clear, you can safely disassemble the machine gun. To disassemble the M240B, you must:& &label1=Remove barrel assembly& &label2=Remove heat shield assembly& &label3=Remove trigger-housing assembly& &label4=Remove butt stock and buffer assembly& &label5=Remove driving spring rod assembly& &label6=Remove bolt and operating rod assembly& &label7=Remove cover assembly& &poptext1=Ensure bolt is forward. Depress barrel locking latch. Rotate carrying handle to upright position, push forward, and slide barrel away from receiver.& &poptext2=Lift rear of heat shield assembly from barrel. Pry front tabs from holes on gas hole bushing.& &poptext3=Depress and remove spring pin from assembly. Rotate rear of trigger-housing assembly down. Disengage holding notch from recess on receiver, and remove assembly.& &poptext4=Depress backplate latch and slide butt stock and buffer assembly straight up and away from receiver.& &poptext5=Reach into receiver and push driving spring rod assembly forward and up to disengage its retaining stud from inside the receiver. Pull rearward and remove it from receiver.& &poptext6=Raise cover and pull bolt and operating rod assembly to rear. Push rearward on bolt, grasp assembly, and remove from receiver. Return cocking handle forward.& &poptext7=Close and latch cover. Remove spring pin. Depress cover latches, lift cover up, and remove it from receiver. Remove feed tray.&
